Wehrmacht is a confirmed playable faction in Company of Heroes 3: Final Stand. The official Steam page names it alongside US Forces, British Forces, and Deutsches Afrikakorps, and says that faction-specific progression trees support persistent upgrades between runs. It does not expose a public Wehrmacht roster, starting deployment, ability list, cost sheet, counter chart, or tier list. A dependable Wehrmacht guide therefore begins with an honest comparison method: observe the exact live options, describe the defensive problem, and avoid passing a parent-game rule off as Final Stand data.
Create a Wehrmacht run card before the first wave
At the faction screen, record the exact displayed faction name, difficulty, map label if available, and date. At the field, identify the protected objective and the approaches that can reach it. The released Gamereactor PC review describes a base and central defensive positions on its observed maps, but it also reports that maps vary. Treat that as a reason to examine the map in front of you, not as a promise that the same layout or route count appears in every Wehrmacht run.
Give the run a single purpose. One good first question is whether the first pressured approach can still be watched after another route demands attention. Another is whether a post-wave choice provides time, coverage, or a fallback. The question should be answered from the current client. It should not be a prewritten claim about what Wehrmacht “always” needs.
Compare offers against a named failure
After a wave, Steam says the player receives randomized unit or ability choices that last for the run. For Wehrmacht, write the previous failure before opening the comparison: the outer layer fell too quickly, a second route went unwatched, or the defense had no recovery point. Then note the exact two offers if the client shows two and choose the one you can test against that failure. A discarded option is part of the decision context, not evidence that it would have been wrong.
The following wave supplies the result. Did the threatened route become more readable? Did the objective stay less exposed? Did the team still have a place to react after the first breach? If none of those changed, repeat the condition or simplify the experiment. Do not claim a numerical bonus, unit role, or availability rule that has not been observed and versioned.
Treat persistent upgrades as a separate comparison axis
Final Stand’s persistent upgrades are linked to faction-specific progression trees. Before comparing two Wehrmacht runs, inspect whether the long-term screen has changed. Record the exact displayed name of an upgrade and any requirement that is visible. Do not call it a prerequisite for a particular difficulty or Endless Mode entry unless the client or a source explicitly says so.
The Gamereactor review reports a progression system that grows between matches, which supports the need to account for long-term state. It is still a single independent observation. It does not establish the current value, level cap, unlock order, or effect of a specific Wehrmacht item. A clean note separates the progression state from the temporary choice that was made during the run.
Before a comparison
Match the displayed difficulty and record the current persistent state instead of assuming it stayed unchanged.
During the comparison
Change one response to one named route problem; do not stack several untested choices.
After the comparison
Keep the result scoped to faction, map display, difficulty, date, and the option that was actually selected.
Use bosses and events as context, not a roster
Steam confirms 36 boss units and 18 dynamic events. It does not publish which boss or event belongs to a Wehrmacht match, what trigger it uses, or which response counters it. When a disruption appears, record the on-screen text, wave, and defensive effect. A boss and an event can occur in the same run without being the same mechanic; keep two notes if the client distinguishes them.
That discipline matters for a faction page. A successful response to an unfamiliar pressure point is worth testing again, but it is not a published roster entry or a permanent guide recommendation. This site uses the current Steam Windows product as its scope and marks unverified fine detail for live or official follow-up.
Keep the next step useful
After each Wehrmacht run, retain the faction, difficulty, first unstable wave, route, temporary choice, and persistent state. Use those facts to decide whether the next run repeats a question or asks a new one. Read Wave Defense for the layer model and Persistent Upgrades for long-term state. Do not replace either with a Company of Heroes 3 AppID 1677280 build order, DLC guide, or balance patch: those sources describe a different product scope.
The most valuable future expansion for this page is a named, current Final Stand source that identifies specific units or abilities. Until then, a well-scoped field record gives a player a real way to learn Wehrmacht without manufacturing a meta.
